2 December 29 th 2009 Connor Rae Kendall 1125 Mulberry Lane Hopewell Junction, NY 12533 Dear Grandma and Grandpa I just wanted to say that I had the best Christmas ever and that you were a big part of that. Thank you for visiting and for the GoKidsGrow learning software. I know it makes learning fun and it will help me be the best I can be. I also wanted to thank you for the puppy. I think he’s starting to grow on mom and dad. I don’t think they are mad at him for eating dad’s book “My Minds Eye and the Eighth Portal©” or the signed copy of “Oregon Adventure©.” I love you and miss you. Come visit again soon. I have baseball in the summer and you can watch some of my games. Love, Connor State – A Mount Hood Wilderness Copyright © 2009 GoKidsGrow LLC ® GoKidsGrow

7 7 Hints With email, the use of thank you cards is becoming a lost articulation of thanks. A hand written expression of appreciation is a powerful gesture and a wonderful value. The following are some ideas to consider while writing thank you cards; –Be timely, thank you cards should be in the mail within 1 week of when the event or gift giving occurred. –Handwritten and sent through the US mail is much more personable than computer generated email. –The top center portion of the card is reserved for the date. –Including the return address in the upper write portion of the letter is thoughtful for; return correspondence, good practice for a child to remember his/her address and an important habit to create for the future. –Letters should be up beat and positive. When writing a thank you card, have the child smile and pretend their talking directly to the person they are thanking. This will help them with ideas for what to say as well as the tone in which to say it. Copyright ©2009 GoKidsGrow LLC Copyright © 2009 GoKidsGrow LLC ®
