Brief History 2000 – Launch of the SICP with SEPA 2002 – Johannesburg (WSSD): SICP included among “SD partnership – Type II Initiatives” 2005 – the Chinese Government indicated the Program as an model for the international cooperation, by awarding the prestigious International Science and Technology Prize 2002 – New Chinese Administrations involved (e.g. MOST, BJEPB) Today – 45 projects for 162 millions Euro. Project Management Projects elaborated by a permanent Sino-Italian Task Force of over 60 experts from IMET, Chinese administrations, Chinese and Italian Institutions and Universities (also in collaboration with Program / Projects monitoring entrusted to PMOs (Beijing and Shanghai) in the framework of an agreement between IMET and ICE. Projects implemented – in partnership – by Italian and Chinese administrations and institutions, universities and research centers, public and private companies, international implementing acencies.
