2 BACKGROUND 37 th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (2010): Resolution for the Preparation of a Plan of Action for Cooperation of the OIC with Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan) 38 th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers(2011): Adoption of the Plan of Action for Cooperation of the OIC with Central Asia COMCEC Coordination Office offered to host a workshop to discuss and define possible partnership modalities to enhance the cooperation of the OIC Member States with Central Asia in collaboration with Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) 2/22

3 OBJECTIVES Sharing best practices in the field of technical cooperation Identifying basic obstacles/challenges in the existing technical cooperation programs/projects Discussing the means for more effective cooperation between OIC and Central Asia 3/22
