3  Ask Questions If you feel like you are not receiving the job because of racial reasons question the management on their hiring procedures.  Inform Manager of Qualifications If qualified for the job and not hired, take it to the top of management.

4 Remain Positive and Professional A positive and professional person is more likely to succeed than a person who gets upset and handles matters unprofessionally. If not hired, due to racism, remain positive and professional. Go back and ask questions, remain persistent.

6 Speak Up For Yourself  Do not walk away from the problem.  Educate other employees on your qualifications.  Prove them wrong with your hard work and good ideas.

7 Inform Management of Problems  Do not let problems keep building up.  Inform management as soon as problems occur

8 Companies Can Educate ♦Ask management to bring in seminars to teach employees on how to handle racial situations. ♦Have all employees attend orientations that consist of Discrimination Laws.

9 Scenario #3 Low Wage Jobs ﻬTeach the children…they are our future. ﻬTeach the minority groups as well as others. This will help discourage future social stigmas.

10 Getting Kids Involved ♥At schools… Start activities, sports teams, and clubs so they have things to do after school. Teach children how to save and invest their money. Bring in interesting speakers to motivate kids to stay in school. Fundraise for schools to have better supplies. Bring the attention of how bad the schools are to the public.

11 Educate Others (Especially Children) Teach them the significance of treating everyone equally. Do not shelter them, allow them to see how different people live. Try to discourage any social stigmas concerning different ethnic groups. Hold seminars or conversations that teach not only children but their parents how to react to different minority groups.
