The policy places significant weight on the use of Whole Life Costing 1.Establish a corporate group to move the Policy forward 2.Raise awareness of the Policy amongst relevant Council staff and suppliers 3.Initiate a number of pilot sustainable purchasing projects (paper, timber and printer issues) 4.Develop a longer term Sustainable Purchasing Strategy

Environmental impact in use 4. Ability to be re-used or recycled 5. Biodegradability at the end of its useful life 6.The working conditions and fair pay of producers
