2 Initiative for School Empowerment and Excellence 2 i.4.see will improve the quality and scope of data collections, provide easy access to meaningful data for schools and reduce the submission burden. 3 Initiative for School Empowerment and Excellence 3 Assign SASIDs Collect & Integrate Student Level Data Provide District & School Access 123 And, where are we in the implementation of i4see… -- How are we implementing i4see? -- Three Primary Components to Phase I A3 A13 Dropout Counts

4 Initiative for School Empowerment and Excellence 4 Now that we have a collection process in place, this data will have broad uses. i4see Submissions Beginning of year enrollment information Free and Reduced status NECAP assessment results End of year attendance, suspension, graduation and post graduation plans Demographics – race, gender, Title I involvement, advanced placement, student mobility, homeless information, etc. Integrated Data Migrant student status LEP / ESOL involvement Special Education status CTE and Other possibilities yet to come (e.g. K-16) What Data is Collected? How is This Data Used? Follow The Child AYP Determination Equity Aid Drop-out Analysis, Policy Analysis, etc.

5 Initiative for School Empowerment and Excellence 5 Again, to emphasizing Data Quality, verification checks and reports help ensure the data is accurate… -- Data Submission Process -- Step 1: School Verifications – eg: Race has changed since BOY Suspect grade given age of student … Step 2: District Verifications & Reports – eg: Student left one school but never arrived 2 nd school in same district (W2 / R2) Attendance Reports … Step 3: State Reports & Sign-Off – eg: Student left one school but never arrived 2nd school in another district (W4 / R4) One student too many days (greater than 360 half-days) ADM Sign-Off …
