4 Course Descriptions: A basic goal of Geometry is to expand the understanding of mathematical concepts and to improve logical thinking skills. Students will be presented with concepts, strategies and guidance in order to improve on their own decision making ability. These concepts will be reinforced through exercises in order to gain mastery and provoke critical thinking.

5 This is not your typical math course! It is probably going to be the first time you study for math. There is a ton of vocabulary to learn as well!

6 Prerequisites: A passing grade in Algebra I

8 Supplementary Materials: Scientific calculator TI-30X IIS (Texas Instruments)

9 Supplementary Materials: Geometry tool kit – protractor, compass, ruler (available at any office supply store or Target) (Required by Monday, January 12 th )
