Listening text Girl1: Where are you going, Larry? Boy1: To Tom’s party. Girl1: Lucky you! I’d love to go to that party! Boy1: Yeah, well, I’m a little nervous. I don’t know what to wear. I don’t know what to wear. Girl1: If I were you, I’d wear a shirt and tie.

Boy1: What if everybody else is wearing jeans and T-shirts? Girl1: Oh, you shouldn’t worry about what other people are wearing. Boy1: And I don’t have a present. What if everyone brings a present? Girl1: If I were you, I’d take a small present-a pen or something.

(1). If it is sunny tomorrow, we’ll go to the zoo.

(2). If I were you, I would go at once.

If I had time, I would go for a walk. If I were invited, I would go to the dinner party. If I won a million dollars in the lottery, I would put it in the bank.

2. He doesn’t know if he should bring a present. ①. I don’t know if I should go to the party.

If I were you, I’d wear a shirt and tie. if 引导的条件状语从句表示与现在事 实相反的虚拟语气时, be 动词只能用 were, 而不能用 was 。

e. g. If he were here, he would not agree with you. 4. I don’t have a present. What if everyone else brings a present? What if… “ 如果 …… 怎么办 ? ” 相 当于 what would happen if… e. g. What shall I do if it snows?

1.What you (do )if you had a lot of money ? 2.What would you do if you (win) millions of dollars ? 3. If I (be ) you, I’d go to see a film. 4.If I were you, I ( 就 会马上去 ). 5.If I got much money, I’d give it to ( 医学研究 ). Practice A would do won were would go at once medical research

Practice B 1. If it ___Sunday tomorrow, I ___go to see my friends there. A. were, would B. am, would C. was, would D. were, will 2. Mr. Green is researching ___the causes if an illness. A. with B. into C. to D. onto A B

Reading (3a: P28) I’m really shy and I just don’t enjoy parties. I don’t know what to say or do. c If I were you, I’d talk to someone who looks friendly. Then you won’t feel so shy.

I get nervous before big parties and then I get pimples. They look terrible! What should I do? a The food you eat could help with this problem. You should eat lots of fruits and vegetables and drink lots of water.

I can’t sleep the night before I take a big exam. Then I’m too tired to do well. What should I do? b If I were you, I’d take a long walk before going to bed. That should help you relax.

2.Then I ’m too tired to do well. too… to … 句式 not …enough to do 句式进行转换。 He is too young to go to school. =He is so young that he can’t go to school. =He is not old enough to go to school.
