Teamwork June 2009 4 Empathy  Empathy is the ability to imagine yourself in another person’s situation  Examples of showing empathy include: –Offering to help a new employee learn his or her way around. –Helping a fellow CNA who has an extra heavy workload. –Asking a new CNA to join your group at break time.

Teamwork June 2009 5 The right attitude Your team will function better if all team members:  Leave their personal problems at the door when they arrive at work.  Expect the best from each other.  Resolve small conflicts before they grow into larger ones.  Try to act cheerful, even when feeling down. Smiling can help to lift your spirits!
