THE EXPO 2015 Barcelona Smart City Expo & World Congress (SCEWC) is the leading Smart City expo in the world, showcasing innovative technology, products and solutions in the Smart City industry, and promoting business and ensuring an exchange of experiences. Last year the expo hosted 11.000 visitors, 275 companies in the field, 440 worldwide cities, and had more than 400 speakers. The expo stretches over 3 days and is arranged by Fira de Barcelona - Barcelona’s trade fair institution and one of the most important in Europe. Every year, they organize numerous trade shows and congresses, which brings together leading companies from different economic sectors.

7. THE DANISH PAVILION Some of the most difficult locations to get at the expo are the Sponsor Spaces near the Expo Plaza. But we have managed to get one of the most central locations at the expo for Denmark:

8. EVENTS and ACTIVITIES Based on last year’s experience, we intend to offer a number of different events to strengthen the unity of the Pavillion. The goal is to provide our participants with an even more rewarding experience, more networking and excellent knowledge-sharing opportunities at the Expo. We intend to create the following activities for either 3 days or 4 days (see next slides). We are open to any suggestions or ideas that you might have in order to design a better programme for you.

9. EVENTS and ACTIVITIES STUDY TRIP: Barcelona is one of the World’s best Smart Cities. This study trip will mix business with pleasure, and will take us around Barcelona to visit their Smart City solutions. NETWORKING DINNER: To finish off the study trip, and to get the best expo-start, we will have dinner together in the evening. This is an opportunity to get familiar with each other’s businesses and find out how to best complement each other at the expo, and perhaps on future projects as well. WELCOME and CANAPÉS: On the first conference day, we will kick off the expo with a nice welcome for everyone interested, right before the expo officially opens. Bubbles and canapés will be present. VIP RECEPTION: As an acknowledgement of everyone who has travelled to Barcelona, and to celebrate the progress of the smart city area, we will host a lovely Reception on the Wednesday. GALA DINNER or RESTAURANT: As tradition, there is an official Gala dinner on the Wednesday. CLEAN will be able to provide a certain amount of tickets, but not enough for all. As an alternative, we will arrange for reservations at a restaurant for those interested.
