2 Understand how texts are made cohesive through resources e.g. synonyms, and antonyms Building information through connecting similar and contrasting dissimilar things. Understand that words which sound the same may have different spellings and meanings which determine their usage.

4 Words (or phrases) which have the same or similar meaning to another word. S for synonym makes it easy to remember…. S for Same! S for synonym makes it easy to remember…. S for Same! Synonyms can help us to understand what the text is about. Synonyms are useful when we are summarising text. Babies

12 Theyre, there (and their) – visual reminders Theyre: This is a contraction of two words – they + are… Could you use they are in your sentence? Yes! Then use this one! There: This relates to a place… Where? Not here! Over there! Can you see that they all have here? Their is a possessive. It means that something belongs to someone. Could you use our in your sentence? Yes! Then use this one!
