3 Challenges of the New Standards Stakes are higher. Input verses output. Accreditation requires involvement of the entire university - shared vision. We can no longer assume that we are preparing good teachers, we must provide evidence of that fact.

17 Top Ten List 1. Make the commitment (time and money). n 2. Create a solid framework to build upon. n 3. Share the vision. n 4. Identify your leaders. n 5. Develop your action plan and timeline (Countdown to NCATE).

19 Summary NCATE 2000 Standards - provide the avenue to make systemic change in how we prepare teachers. The accreditation process provides a blueprint for change for full integration of new standards.
