1 SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING – Entry Requirements Minimum UK Entry Requirements for Undergraduate Degrees in the School of Engineering at the Robert Gordon University MEng Year 1 Entry 4 Highers at ABBB or 5 Highers at ABBCC or 3 Advanced Highers at BCC. Subjects to include Highers in Mathematics, and in Physics or Technological Studies at B or above. Standard grade English 3 A levels, or equivalent, at BCC including B in Mathematics and C in Physics or Engineering, or Design and Technology. GCSE in English or English Language Advanced entry to second year may be granted to those who have: 4 Highers including Mathematics and Physics or Technological Studies at A, followed by Advanced Highers at BB in Mathematics and Physics, and an additional subject at Higher or Advanced Higher at grade B. Standard grade English 3 A levels at BBB including Mathematics, and Physics or Engineering or Design and Technology GCSE in English or English Language BEng(Hons)/MEng Students who have shown ability may be selected to transfer from the BEng (Hons) to the MEng at the end of the first or second year of study. Year 1 Entry 4 Highers at BBCC or 5 Highers at BCCCC or 2 Advanced Highers at BC. Subjects to include Mathematics, and Physics or Technological Studies. Standard grade English 3 A levels at CCD, including A or AS in Mathematics, and Physics or Engineering or Design and Technology. GCSE in English or English Language Advanced entry to second year may be granted to those who have: Higher passes including Mathematics, and Physics or Technological Studies at B, followed by Advanced Higher at BC and an additional subject at Higher or Advanced Higher at grade B. 3 A levels, or equivalent, at BCC including B in Mathematics and C in Physics or Engineering, or Design and Technology. GCSE in English or English Language An appropriate HND

2 BSc (Eng) Hons Electronic and Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Year 1 Entry 3 Highers at BCC. Subjects to include Highers in Mathematics, and in Physics or Technological Studies. Standard grade English 2 A levels at CD, including A or AS in Mathematics, and Physics or Engineering or Design and Technology. GCSE in English or English Language Advanced entry to second year may be granted to those who have: An appropriate HNC plus additional modules Advanced entry to third year may be granted to those who have: An appropriate HND Pre-semester Access programmes are available to applicants without suitable qualifications in Maths and/or Engineering Science. BSc (Eng) Hons Engineering Design Year 1 Entry 3 Highers at BBC. Subjects to include Highers in Mathematics, and in Physics or Technological Studies, and preferably Art & Design or Craft & Design or Graphical Communication. Standard grade English 2 A levels at CC, including A or AS in Mathematics, and Physics or Engineering or Design and Technology. GCSE in English or English Language BSc (Hons) Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Year 1 Entry 3 Highers at BCC. Subjects to include Highers in Mathematics, and in Physics or Technological Studies. Standard grade English 2 A levels at CD, including A or AS in Mathematics, and Physics or Engineering or Design and Technology. GCSE in English or English Language Advanced entry to second year may be granted to those who have: An HND in Mechatronics or similar BSc Hons Computer Network Management and Design 3 Highers at BCC. Subjects preferably to include Highers in Mathematics or Physics or Technological Studies or Computing. Standard grade English and Mathematics, if not held at Higher 2 A levels at CD, including A or AS in Mathematics, or Physics or Engineering or Design and Technology or Computing. GCSE in English or English Language and Mathematics Advanced entry to third year may be granted to those who have: An appropriate HND plus the CISCO Academy Semesters 1 and 2
