3 My Statement of Major Selecting an area of Biological Concentration Selecting an area of Biological Concentration My name is Matthew Sheriff, and I am a transfer student from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) in Tifton, GA. There I graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Wildlife Technology. I fill comfortable working in this field and am pursuing a Bachelors degree in WFS Wildlife concentration. I am also working with the US Army Corps of Engineers as a Co-op student out of the Mobile District, AL. One of the requirements for their program is that I be enrolled in wildlife, fisheries, or environmental science. I have been accepted to a number of schools Berry College, Georgia Southwestern, etc, but decided to come to Tennessee Tech because of their WFS program. The program here is highly respect by many professionals in the field b/c of the applied methods of teachings. I love wildlife in general and law enforcement, this is why my job as a Park Ranger and my major in WFS Wildlife suits me so well. I love what I do and worked very hard to get where I am. After the first day of BIOL 1000 and receiving information about other majors and concentrations I am glad to be a WFSW student. I couldn’t picture myself wanting to be any other major at the present time. My name is Matthew Sheriff, and I am a transfer student from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) in Tifton, GA.
