1. Original and Credible 2. Website Guidelines 3. Valuable and Timely 4. Custom-Tailored 5. Be Responsive 6. Easy to read 7. Interactive 8. Organization 9. Dominate 10. Conclusion 11. Sources

 The website has to be unique and different from most websites which makes it attractive.  The website should also contain valuable information that is true and correct. If a person created a website and has 5+5=11 then visitors would leave.  A person can add to credibility by having reputable sources at the end of their website.

 A website should be updated periodically and as regularly as possible. If nothing is added to a website, visitors would have no reason to come back.  Timely information is important. If your website still has Pluto listed under planets then the visitor would leave.

 If your website for instance is a search engine and is the best looking web site around but lacks a search engine than a person would have no reason to come to your website. You should think about why your visitors are visiting your web page and give them what they need and want.  The time you put into the website will make it more attractive.

 If you added many applications to the website and have a lot of graphics running in the background then visitors will not wait for everything to load. Your website should be able to load in less then five seconds on a DSL. If your website takes long to load many visitors will feel like it is a waste of time.

 The text should be large enough for people to read. I always suggest using at least 12 font for words depending on the font. Titles and headings should be 20 font or larger.  Your text should be able to stand out from the background. If you have a dark background then use a light color text or vice versa.

 If your website is interactive it will attract visitors. Websites like Facebook and Myspace allows users to add things to their web page as well as interact with other users.  When you allow visitors to interact with your website they help you create content.

 Your website should be well organize. If you have pictures in multiple areas or if chapter summaries are all over the place visitors will just find another website.

 A website should be one of a kind and you should always strive to create the best one. Users always go for what is best and what is free. Website that are not the best tend to not be visited as much as ones that are well rounded.

 A website should be interactive, creative, and always changing.  Organization, timely content, and attractiveness will always bring more users to your web page.
