9 Year 9 Choices Here is the starting point of the individual learning path. This work is developed further during the year by creating specific contact with the careers officer to discuss subject maters which will be relevant to the options of present year 8 pupils.

11 TRACKING – YEAR 9 It’s intended to see everyone in the year after March’s options. It takes three weeks – a month to do this. 2008’s development will be interviewing before choosing subjects. 12 TRACKING YEAR 11 Pupils are referred throughout the year because of behaviour / lack of work etc – up to 6 in a day. Every pupil to be interviewed before November mock exams – 140 in 3 weeks shared between 2 according to the alphabet. Pupils need academic encouragement following disappointing exam results are interviewed weekly or according to what’s needed. A copy is presented to the Deputy and Head of Year. A copy is put in the pupil’s file in the central office where it can be seen by others e.g. Headmaster or Welfare officer.
