9. Money from the Sky ( 英文学院 李文娣 ) One day, I was lying under a big tree alone. Wind blows, with leaves dancing. Not long after, a leaf happened to touch my face gently. I intended to pick it up and throw it away. Surprise! ! ! Money was what I hold! I hurried up and found pieces of money dancing like thousands of butterflies. No one is happier than me. I got a large sum of money. Then, I began to think what I could do with the money. The first idea slipped into my mind is to buy as many books as I could. This was what I longed to since long long ago. Then I could enjoy myself by reading books every day. In my opinion, books are the biggest property. Reading book is what I prefer in my life. “Hey, what are you doing? Get up, girl!” A sound woke me up. I opened my eyes, and found myself lying under the tree. Leaves were still dancing. What a dream!

I was wandering down the street. When I walked by Citibank, a gunfire was coming out of it. Then a group of gangsters, with their faces masked, rushed to the gate of the bank, heading right towards me. I was scared to death, thinking they were going to take me hostage. But out of my expectation, one of them threw a bundle of 100-yuan notes to me before he fled away. I suddenly felt that I was the luckiest man ever.

11. Unexpected Money?! ( 英文学院 马奕斐 ) Unexpected money? I don’t think that kind of thing will ever happen to me. But I do dream of getting a large sum of money, so I often buy lottery. However, in my career of buying lottery, I’ve never got a prize, not even the smallest amount. Yet “miracles” happen sometimes. One day, I went into a supermarket to buy some fruit. When I carried the apples to the counter, a kind old lady weighed them and said they cost 21 yuan. I took out a 100- yuan note. Then she gave me 89 yuan, including a 50-yuan note. I saw it clearly, but didn’t say a thing. I stuffed the money into my wallet and walked out of the supermarket with unspeakable pleasure. Several days later, I used the 50-yuan note to buy a book, but was told it was a fake note……
