3 My Home – Your Starting Page Create as many personal folders as needed and organize your titles of interest. System Folders: What’s New showcases the latest titles added to the site. Top Titles displays the most frequently accessed titles in the last week. Recommended presents titles that have been voted for by the overall Books24x7 community or by peers in your organization. History exhibits the latest accessed for quick referencing and retrieval. System Folders: What’s New showcases the latest titles added to the site. 4 Browsing Topics The Browse Topics box provides a Topic Tree for every entitled collection. All content is categorized into related subtopic areas in the Topic Tree. Select a Topic Tree using the View by: menu and click on any subtopic.

5 Searching for Titles Enter a word or phrase in the search box. Boolean expressions (AND, OR, NOT) are accepted as well as quotes. Search Hints provide suggestions as you type. Narrow your search with additional search options. Search results are relevancy ranked. Expanding the bubble beside Top Section Hits will display all hits within the title in relevancy ranked order.

6 Iterative Search and Filter Options Filter Options filters a list of titles for specific attributes such as MP3 audio, companion CDs, PDF downloads, MP4s, number of pages, recommended titles and copyright date. Used in conjunction with regular search, iterative search enables you to search within existing results for quicker, more targeted results while also retaining all previous levels of search results.

7 Viewing Content Navigation in the left column allows you to move to different sections of text. Search Hits can be expanded to view hits in relevancy ranked order. Search hit highlighting can be turned on or off by clicking the keyword highlighting Browse Tool. The next search hit runner tool enables you to jump down a page through the highlighted search hits.

8 Added Features Recommendations is a community feature allowing you to vote yes/no for any title you wish to recommend. Clicking on Citation in the descriptive information of the title will open a valid Citation that can be copied and pasted into a document.

9 Adding Bookmarks and Notes Clicking on the bookmark with note tool opens a Create Bookmark Note pane which enables you to enter a note and create a bookmark for the page. The bookmark tool adds a quick bookmark to any content page without leaving the page. The title and bookmark is automatically placed in your Default folder for easy access.

10 Adding Titles to Personal Folders The add to folders tool -- located on any content page and list (search results list, topic list, etc.) -- launches the Manage Title page where you may place the title in an existing folder or create a new folder to hold the title. Once a title is in a folder, the add to folders icon is replaced by an open book manage title tool. Clicking on the manage title tool will launch the Manage Title page where you may move or remove the title.

11 Creating and Managing Personal Folders Managing all your folders is accomplished using the manage folders tool located on your My Home tab. On the Manage Personal Folders page you can: 1.Create a new folder. 2.Empty the contents of any folder. 3.Rename folders you’ve created. 4.Delete folders that you’ve created. 12 Setting Personal Preferences On the Settings tab, you can: 1.Modify your User Information. 2.Set your Password. 3.View Collection entitlements. 4.Change your email notification options. 5.Configure Display Options.
