Navigating the Questionnaire Example:  This is an example of where an enumerator would fill out a form with text.  The enumerator can use the key pad on the screen.  For some fields, ONLY letters can be used, and for other fields, ONLY numbers can be used.

Saving the Questionnaire When enumerators are finished they will add the household number to the filename, save the data and exit. Data can be reviewed by enumerators or supervisors. Even though they can review their data, Enumerator Will NOT Tick Mark Form as Finalized, the Team Leader and Community Focal point will when reviewing the Questionnaire

Review Saved Data Enumerators or supervisors will review saved data, by pressing the Edit Saved Form button.  For Enumerators this will be relevant if they have to go back to a household to verify or get more data.  For the Supervisors, they will go through the forms and save them as complete, if the data is ready for synchronization.

Standard Operating Procedure: Your responsibility as team leader 1.Sign in for your phone 2.Ensure Flight Mode is switched on 3.Make sure you know who has a spare phone in case you run out of battery 4.Conduct your household interviews and your individual questionnaires 5.Ensure that you or your assistant are cross-checking especially the numbers/measurements entered 6.Hand the phone back to the supervisor in the evening

Some tips…  Use the Back button, if you get any of these screens and you neither want to copy the text or remove the response

Some tips …. Unlocking the phone: Slide to the side on the Motorola

Some tips…  The Android is switching to landscape or portrait format, depending on how you hold it, if you are not typing on the keyboard and just choosing options, it might be good to close the keyboard since you will not have to scroll as much.  Always check that you have seen all options, e.g. always scroll down to the bottom

Some tips…  Always have a few paper questionnaires around just in case the electronic form crashes.  When accidently moving away from the form? o Just go back, the application will resume from the point you left it; if you hit return by accident, it will ask you whether you want to leave the application. Make sure you save before you do so.  What to do when the form crashes? o Turn the mobile off and back on again. Verify that your data has been saved. o Give the phone enough time to boot up and wait until the SD card has been scanned

Exercise 1 Team up in pairs: Each team member enters one record Group discussion: What worked well, where did you have difficulties?
