2.  Today I will find quotients of word problems involving multi-digit divisors.  Today I will review key vocabulary that pertains to division.  Today I will learn how to interpret the remainders of division problems in real-life situations.

4.  Each lifeboat holds 4 people and we have 22 people. We would need 6 lifeboats to carry all the people to safety – not 5 R2 lifeboats. (so round up!)  If you are measuring to divide a 19 inch piece of fabric into 5 inch pieces, how many pieces can you cut? 3 – 5 inch pieces not 3 R4. You would just use the remaining 4 inches for something else or discard the extra.
