3. DMU Support for DSU Increases in block grant for several years Last years increase by £250k gave us a 25% increase This additional money was spent on front facing activities for students including Student Voice, Marketing and Communications, Welfare and Sports

4. 2015-16 Budget DSU have requested an additional £183k from DMU to be spent on specific projects including Sports, School reps, Welfare, Marketing and Communications, Volunteering and Societies and Demon Media. We will not know until May whether the SU will get increased block grant DSU expect there will be some increase but if there is no increase DSU can continue to grow and develop but will need to consider postponing specific projects, scaling back or looking for alternative ways to finance the costs.
