Oregon is a leader in moving forward with reducing greenhouse gas emissions Transportation accounts for up to 40 percent of all total emissions. Without reductions in this area, we will never make adequate progress Oregon also has one of the nation’s most aggressive renewable energy standards and linking transportation and electrification furthers both goals Lessens dependence on foreign sources of fossil fuels Green technology is the future and Oregon will continue to provide national leadership

Kulongoski Governor American Renewal and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Oregon has applied for a $15 million grant under the Clean Cities proposal to continue national leadership Grant would deploy charging stations to support electrified vehicles and support average consumers looking to “buy electric” Conduct public outreach and education – including technician training – for EVs Gather data and study the use of electric vehicles and charging stations
