2 What is Chicken Pox?  Chicken Pox is a viral infection in which a person develops extremely itchy blisters all over the body.

3 What are some causes of Chicken Pox?  The Chicken Pox is caused by a virus called Varicella-Zoster. Varicella-Zoster is a type of herpes virus. After the Chicken Pox, the virus hibernates intill the body’s immune system becomes weak or the body goes through stress.  This virus is transferred through human contact (touch, sneezing, coughing).

5 What are some signs of Chicken Pox?  Some symptoms include a fever, mild headache, stomach ache, and being hungry all the time.

6 Are there any treatments or cures?  Doctors may describe an antihistamine for itching.  If you have a bad case some might suggest an Antiviral drug such as acyclovir or a drug called Immune Globulin Intravenous.  Another treatment is to get the Chicken Pox vaccine.
