6 NEED STATEMENT 1 TEAM STRATEGY & DYNAMICS NEED STATEMENT 2 NEED STATEMENT 3 DECISION CRITERIA CHOSEN NEEDS BUDGET & FUTURE STEPS STUDENT EXPERIENCE Coaching Cross Functional Teams Real World Experience New Challenges Industry Networking Medtech is closer to an actual business setting than anything we do in business school. As an engineer, it is really good to learn how to understand a medical need then develop a technology instead of trying to find a need for an existing technology. Medtech gives me a chance to work on a problem that doesn't already have a solution. Medtech allowed me to observe medical procedures and then sit down and interview the surgeon. I get queasy at the sight of blood, my mom couldn't believe it when I told her I was in the operating room during a quintuple bypass! I like working as a multidisciplinary group and understanding what each of us bring to the table. Collaborating with students of different skill sets and experiences brings a variety of perspectives and ideas to light. Medtech allows me access to an industry coach who knows about the inner workings of the industry. Medtech connected me with a professor who has gone through a large part of the process we are going through. When interviewing stakeholders it was interesting to see how perspectives on one need can vary. MEDTECH ID Our Journey
