2 Energy Conservation in the Home/Kitchen
We can do our part to conserve energy by doing the following steps: Always fell the dishwasher full to get from the energy to run it. Permanently set the dishwasher to air dry. If it doesn't have that option, then open the door to let it dry. If your microwave has an electronic display on it unplug it when it is not in use. Really anything that has a stand by phase, unplug it when it is not needed.

3 Energy Conservation in the Home/Kitchen
Choosing the right appliances for your kitchen conserves natural resources and money in the process. Technology and design reduces the amount of energy needed to run big appliances like refrigerators, ovens, and dishwashers. We could also make sure we do our part in the energy conservation by doing things that would save energy. Like making sure the water is shut off and the doors on our appliances are closed.

6 Who Can Conserve Energy in the Home?
People of all ages can conserve energy. Adults can conserve energy by: Buying a hybrid car Using a wood burner instead of oil. Kids can conserve energy by: Reusing water bottles. Take the bus to school. Use a broom instead of a vacuum.

Your ability to save energy can help you and your planet immensely; Anyone who puts their mind to it, can help. Tell you parents to go out and buy these items: Smaller Kitchen Appliances. Compact Fluorescent light bulbs. Energy Efficient Fans.

Turn your refrigerator down. Set your clothes washer to the warm or cold setting. Make sure that your dishwasher is full when you run it and use the extra energy saving setting. Turn down your water heater thermostat. Select the most energy efficient models when you replace your old appliances.

When you save energy, you not only save money, you also reduce the demand for such fossil fuels as coal, oil, & natural gas. The average American produces about 40,000 pounds of CO2 emissions per year. We use nearly a million dollars worth of energy every minute, night and day, everyday of the year
