3 l l Wage Rate Requirements: Laborers and mechanics shall be paid prevailing wages consistent with the Davis- Bacon Act l l 120 day spending requirement l l Grantees, sub-recipients and contractors required to have a DUNS numbers l l Central contractor registration database ARRA Requirements

4 l l Limit on Funds: None of the funds appropriated or otherwise made available in this Act may be used by any state or local government, or any private entity, for any casino or other gambling establishment, aquarium, zoo, golf course, or swimming pool l l Buy American: Use of American iron, steel and manufactured goods ARRA Requirements

5 l l Protecting State and Local Government and Contractor Whistleblowers l l Special Contracting Provisions: To the maximum extent possible, contracts funded under this Act shall be awarded as fixed-price contracts through the use of competitive procedures. A summary of any contract awarded with such funds that is not fixed-price and not awarded using competitive procedures shall be posted in a special section of the website established in section 1526. l l Preference For quick-start activities ARRA Requirements

7 Orange County Funding Homeless Prevention & Rapid Re- Housing Program (HPRP) Financial assistance and services to prevent homelessness and to provide re-housing and stabilization for those that have become homeless $2.5 million for Orange County Presented & approved by BCC on May 12 th

8 The purpose is to improve infrastructure, energy efficiency, and access to health care $1.7 million funding for Pine Castle sidewalk and drainage improvements, and energy efficiency improvements to community centers BCC approved June 2, 2009 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG – R) Orange County Funding
