This extensive network promotes a culture of preparedness by bringing high-quality, consistent training directly to jurisdictions across the nation. This network is strengthened by NDPC’s train-the-trainer programs, in which individuals are authorized to teach courses in their area. This diffusion of innovation concept is important as NDPC strives to instill a culture of preparedness across the country. Diffusion of innovation focuses on learning transfer, which can help NDPC create and deliver training that improves emergency preparedness policy across the country. 9 Courses are offered through each of the seven consortium members. Read more about each member’s area of expertise. Courses are designed to meet the needs of all responders, including traditional first responders, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector. NDPC offers courses for all responder disciplines and all levels of experience. When feasible, courses are made available online or by video conference; however, many courses require hands-on training and interactive discussion.
