Then, make one slight horizontal sweeping motion when, in the judgment of the official, it is needed to indicate a legal back-row attacker. Informal signal – (1)Player below top of net in attack zone: Make a “patting” motion (twice) with the open hand on the side of the possible BRA/BRB, palm down; (2)Player behind attack line: Make a pushing motion toward the endline with the hand on the side of the possible BRA/BRB, palm toward endline, thumb down.
