2 Update any Plan Changes Select employees- view/edit – Plan Info – select employee

3 Select edit by plan to change

4 Secondary screen pops up – select edit Enter an end date – select update – select save

5 Select edit by plan to change – choose the plan or choose waive – enter the date – select save

6 Verify all Active vs Terminated Employees Review all “Active” employees – are they truly active – if they have left employment go to General Info – select edit under the employee section – select Edit Service Break History – select the status – input the date -

7 Select the reason – select save You must select “Update” for it to save any changes.

8 ACA Reporting We have to re-evaluate our thinking of who we consider benefit eligible. – Any employee that works 130 or more hours in any given month during our “measurement period” must be offered benefits during the next “administrative period” for coverage the duration of the “stability period”. Measurement period = Nov 1 st to Oct 31 st Administrative period = Nov 1 st to Dec 31 st Stability period = Jan 1 st to Dec 31 st

9 Verify Salary Type on All Active Employees Select an employee- go to General Info – select edit under the Additional Information side – select “Edit Position/Employee Type/Salary Type”

10 Enter date – choose position – choose employee type – choose salary type – select save You must select “Update” to save any changes.

11 Definitions Position: – If it is a Priest – you must select Priest – If it is a Substitute Teacher at a school – select Substitute Teacher

12 Definitions Employee Type: Full-time – anyone working 30 hours per week or more Part-time – anyone working less than 30 hours per week Seasonal – anyone that works 120 days or less or less than 4 calendar months in any year. (Summer help, snow removal, etc) Temporary – anyone that is hired to complete a short term project that is not connected to a season working less than 130 hours in any given month. ( a data entry project, etc. This employee type should be a rare occurrence) Do not use employee types of casual or contract.

13 Definitions Salary Type: Hourly – anyone that is paid by an hourly amount and hours must be input into payroll to calculate payment. Salaried Nonexempt – anyone that is paid a set amount (salary) but they are not consistently working 30 hours or more per week. (Musicians, coaches, part-time secretaries, etc.) Salaried Exempt – anyone that is paid a set amount (salary) and consistently works 30 hours or more per week.
