2 Travelers, Welcome. The time machine you have now entered is set to only travel into the 1920s. We have constructed a guide of select events, fashion, music and entertainment of the 20s for you. 4 The rise of the Great Depression. Stock market crashes on black Tuesday, loss is 30 Billion dollars. Ku Klux Klan, unfortunately, is at its peak with about 5 million members. Urban areas held liberal views of drugs, alcohol, sex, and homosexuality. Automobile, radio, movie, an chemical industries become very popular. Henry Ford will sell 15 million model ts, this will contribute to gas stations and the oil industry. The very popular character Poohbear and books will be published in 1926.

6 A lot of the famous criminals we know today débuted in the 1920s and 30s. Bootleggers, mobsters and bank robbers were the most popular criminal acts. One of the most know mobster killings is the St. Valentines Day massacre. Also probation was invented and enforced by the law for criminals. Bonnie and Clyde Al Capone

7 In the 1920s, African American literature, art, music, dance, and social commentary began to flourish in Harlem, New York City. This African American cultural movement became known as the Harlem Renaissance. What contributed greatly to the development of the Harlem Renaissance was the African American urban migration. Also trends toward experimentation throughout the country, and the rise of radical African American intellectuals had an impact to the movement.
