2 Who was Charles Darwin? CHARLES DARWIN WAS ONE OF THE GREATEST SCIENTISTS WHO EVER LIVED.HE WAS THE GRANDSON OF JOSIAH WEDGWOOD-A WORLD FAMOUS POTTERY MAKER-AND HE MARRIED HIS COUSIN EMMA WEDGWOOD.DARWIN WAS FAScINATED BY ALL THE CREATURES ON PLANET EARTH AND DECIDED TO DESCOVEER MORE ABOUT THEM IN STRANGE WAYS: CHARLES WOULD PLAY MUSICAL INSTROMENTS TO WORMS TO SEE IF THEY COULD HEAR DIFFERENT SOUNDS; HE FED ROAST MEAT TO INSECT EATING PLANTS TO SEE HOW THEY DIGESTED IT! 3 HMS BEGAL On the morning of 27 December 1831, H.M.S. Beagle( with a crew of seventy three men) sailed out of Plymouth harbour under a calm wind and rain. DARWIN HAD JOINED THE H.M.S BEAGLE ON A FIFE YEAR JOURNEY AROUND THE WORLD! CHARLES DARWIN WAS SICK AS SOON AS THE SHIP SET SAIL! In 1850 the famous h.m.s beagle was striped and sold for scrap for £525. Dr.pescott did an archaeological survey and found lots of mid-victorian pottery that came from the ship!

4 ARGUEMENTS CHALES DARWIN WAS A CHRISTIAN AND WHEN THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND FOUND OUT HIS THEORY THEY BEGAN TO QUESTION HIS BELIFE. THE ARCHEBISHOP WOULDN’T TAKE HIS THEORY INTO ACCOUNT.DARWIN FINALLY MANAGED TO PERSUADE MORE PEOPLE WITH HIS BOOK THE ORIGIN OF SPECIES BY MEANS OF NATURAL SELECTION OR THE PRESERVATION OF FAVOURED RACES IN THE STRUGGLE FOR LIFE. HIS BOOK MADE HIM FAMOUS,HE DIDN’T LIKE PUBLIC ARGUMENTS SO HE WOULD STAY AT HOME MOST OF THE TIME AND LET HIS FOLLOWERS-EVOLUTIONISTS-SHOW THE OPPONENTS-CREATIONISTS- WICH SIDE IS RIGHT!
