3 Plot: Chain of related events that tells us what happens in the story

4 Exposition  The start of the story.  The way things are before the action starts. TThe start of the story. TThe way things are before the action starts.

6 ManMan VS Man VS Nature VS Society VS Himself VS Technology Conflict

7 Complications Small problems that characters encounter that keep the plot moving.

8 Rising Action Series of Complications the characters encounter that keep the plot moving forward

9 Climax The high point, The turning point- characters change or learn something.

10 Falling Action Falling Action All of the action which follows the Climax. Complications are being resolved.

11 Resolution All conflicts have been tied up. The end of the story.

12 If you took the wolf out, what would our story be? Subplot Plots that are part of the larger story but are not as important. A story within a story.

13 Parallel Episodes Parallel Episodes Episodes in the story repeat.
