48. 10 Where have we come from? Strategic Focus on Ministry with Young People 2006 to 2009 will see the Archdiocese of Brisbane have a Strategic Focus on Ministry with Young People. This focus was established to highlight to communities that World Youth Day is a tool to engage with and animate the spiritual life of young people. Ministry with Young People: a dynamic framework Ministry with Young People offers a framework for ministry with young people in light of the Archdiocesan Vision of Jesus Communion Mission. It encourages communities to continually Invite, Form Challenge and Send young people Brisbane World Youth Day Preparatory Committee and Secretariat WYD Preparatory Committee established as an overarching body to manage the planning and implementation of the Archdiocese’s participation in WYD 2008. The WYD Secretariat was also named to support the work of the Preparatory Committee and to provide support to local communities in their preparations for World Youth Day.
