2 What kind of programme is it? Little Britain is a British comedy sketch show which was first broadcast on BBC radio and then turned into a television show. It was written by stars Matt Lucas and David Williams.

3 Channels, days and time Series One, 2003 As a result of its success, the first television series was repeated on the more mainstream channel BBC two. Series Two, 2004 The second TV series, featuring several new characters and began on BBC Three 19 October 2004. Because of its popularity, the scheduled repeats were "promoted" to BBC one, starting 3 December 2004, which guaranteed higher ratings. Series Three, 2005 A third series began on 17 November 2005 on BBC One, and ended six weeks later.

5 Programme Brief Little Britain is a British character based comedy sketch show which was first broadcasted on BBC radio and then turned into a television show. It was written by stars Matt Lucas and David Walliams. Its title is an mix of the terms 'Little England' and 'Great Britain', and is also the name of a Victorian neighborhood in a modern street of London. The show comprises sketches involving exaggerated clips of British people from all ways of life in various situations familiar to the British.

6 Target Audience The show has won a clutch of awards including best comedy performers and entertainment at the Royal Television Society Awards. It has also spawned a number of catchphrases, including teenager Vicky Pollard's "yeah, but, no but...", often heard repeated by fans. Although it was commissioned by BBC Three, its terrestrial showing has been moved from BBC Two to One on the strength of its popularity. BBC Three was celebrating the success of the new series, which was watched by one in four 25-34 year-olds, the channel's target audience. watched by 500,000 in the 10pm slot.

Mr. Cleeves - a teacher who's not kept up with the times. Roy - gets the short straw of having to deal with Mr. Mann. Florence Rose - Emily Howard's transvestite chum. Wears a very ungirly moustache.
