2 2 Setting up the Class

3 3 Static IP Address for Laptop Configure a static IP address for your laptop. See Exercise 1 in your lab book for complete exercise.

4 4 Installing the Software 1.Go to the “PBX Software” folder on the USB, or go to http://wiki.snomone.com and click Downloads. http://wiki.snomone.com 2.Click the appropriate link (32 or 64 bit). 3.Double-click the setup.exe file and install the software. If you are installing snom ONE yellow or snom ONE blue, the setup.exe file is located on the USB stick in the snomone/windows folder. See Exercise 2 in your lab book for complete exercise.

6 Using Windows Service Control Manager 6 1.Click Start. 2.Right-click Computer. 3.Click Manage. 4.Double-click Services and Applications. 5.Double-click Services. 6.Ensure system exists and is started. See Exercise 4 in your lab book for complete exercise. pbx_startup_err.txt : Tells why the system did not come up the last time an attempt was made.

18 Upgrading the Software 18 See Exercise 10 in your lab book for complete exercise. 1.Navigate to Admin > Status of the PBX and determine the working directory and version number of the current software. 2.Make a backup of the existing version. This step can be done while the PBX is running. 3.Download the new executable, and copy it to the working directory. 4.Rename the new file.
