2. What CSM Is……... ä Purchased from TAMCO in 1993. ä For small to medium sized central stations. ä UL 1981 Classified, UL 879 & ULC Listed. ä Many advanced features. ä Alpha Paging, Remote Logger, Service Manager, Email, Faxing, Radish Board.

3. What CSM is Not……. ä NOT as powerful as SIMS II. ä NOT complete support for newer formats such as Contact ID and SIA fully. ä NOT robust enough for large centrals. ä NOT actively being upgraded by SIMS beyond the current version.

4. How CSM has evolved…... ä Five new versions of CSM have been released since SIMS bought TAMCO. ä v5.21 (aka 5.31) in 1994 ä v5.22 released in 1995 ä v6.00 released in 1996 ä v6.01 released in 1997 ä Current v6.02 released in 1999

5. CSM v6.02 added….. ä Full Screen traffic display. ä Better multi-language support. ä Y2k patches and corrections. ä Room for new receiver interfaces. ä QuickHist is now color coded by event.

6. Where does CSM go from here ? ä SIMS continues to sell CSM. ä SIMS will continue to make program corrections to the program as we have with SIMS I but there will be no enhancements made beyond current features. ä CSM sites can upgrade to SIMS II for the cost difference.
