3 Resources Strong SBO chapter organization  Centered on Intermediate Unit (region of Lancaster and Lebanon counties)  Rotated leadership positions of chapter with “permanent” chairman for design of development program University Resources  Continuity provided by Educational Leadership Program  University resources available for speakers and facilities Outside Speakers  Experts on topical issues  From university and district contacts

4 History / Format Program began in 1987  Scheduled bi-annually  Changed to annual format in 2000 Hosted at Pennsylvania State University Main Campus  Provides relaxed interactions in a professional setting  High participation rate

6 Process Establish a standing SBO chapter committee (include chapter officers) Committee confers with university contact  In the spring, begin to : Set the date and location Discuss general topic areas Solicit commitment from attendees  In the summer, finalize: Attendees Agenda with program topics and speakers
