2 Like gunpowder & paper & the wheel & silk & fire works & a lot of otter tings today I am going to teach you some info. Lets start with the crossbow. The use of the crossbow is for hunting and war in Africa, Asia and ancient Egypt. Next I will tell you about gunpowder. Gunpowder is the first explosive substance mankind learned to use and also one of the four great invitations of ancient China. GUS CHINESE INVENTIONS

3 Landon Kim Some types of Chinese invention The mechanic clock was the first clock invention. The compass was the earliest invention that they made in ancient china. They make in ancient china is tea produced. They made tea cups. They invented China plates. They invented darts. They invented cross bows. LANDON CHINESE INVENTIONS They invented movable type printing. They invented gunpowder. They invented silk. They invented alcohol. They invented umbrellas about 1,700 years ago. They invented acupuncture about 2300 years ago. They invented iron smelting. They invented porcelain. They invented paper. They invented kites about 3,000 years ago. Silk is the oldest fiber Silk was an important item in china they invented silk 6,000 years ago. The silk color was black. Silk is like soil and dirt but it is soft.

4 They created gunpowder, paper, making, printing, compasses, porcelain, silk, tea, Chinese medicine, and boat rudder… But now I’m going to talk about pasta. I know it sounds weird but, pasta is not from Italy its from China. In the country of China its called noodles. Chinese noodles. 5 The first clock was made by Yi Xing. A Buddhist monk and a mathematical of the Tang dynasty, Yi’s clock operated with water dripping and a wheel that made a full revelation every 24 hours. As time went on, clocks were made with iron bronze system of hooks, pins, locks, and rods. Gunpowder, paper, printing and the compass were sometimes called the 4 great inventions of ancient China. Also, kites were used for to block the sun and the rain. The word umbra means shade. Umbrellas were made with wood and sharp paper. Crossbows were used to get food and were used in wars. The cross bow is made of burnt wood and string. They hunted for deer and turtles. They hunted turtles because they needed the shell. They could shoot and animal from more than 30 feet away. Also guess what else they made… The great wall of CHINA! They used about 13,670 people to build the great wall of china. The widest section of the wall is about 9 meters long. The highest point of it is about 8 meters high. Some people lost their lives building the wall. Rebuilding of the great wall of china, took place during the dynasty that began in the 14 th century. The main purpose of the great wall of china is to protect from the north. The clothes that Chinese people wore was silk. But that was for rich people. Also most people in china have long hair.
