Suspensea state of mental uncertainty or excitement as in awaiting a decision or outcome. Dynamic CharacterA character who undergoes a change because of the action in the story Round Character Characters that are described in depth, with many details, are well-rounded characters. A character with many personalities both good and bad. Static Character A character whose personality does not change in the story. Flat CharacterA character that has very little information provided about him in the story. GenreA kind or type of literature. Category in which a work of literature is classified Inter/Inference To form an opinion about something by making a reasonable guess or suggestion; to make an educated guess based on what is supported by evidence in the text. Textual EvidenceUsing quotes, phrases, etc. from a literary work (writing) to support your judgment or opinion. ToneThe attitude of the author toward the reader or the subject matter of a literary work. MoodThe feeling or atmosphere that a writer creates; the way someone feels about or thinks about something. ForeshadowingThe use of hints or clues to suggest what will happen later in the story or movie.
