The Space Shuttle Nasa stands for National Aeronautics and Space Administration. It has been the United States official of launching man into outer space. The Space Shuttle is made to transport astronauts to all the different planet in outer space.
Sun Our Solar System star, the Sun, is the closest star to earth at a mean distance from our planet of 149.60 million kilometers.
Mercury The small, rocky planet, Mercury, is the closest planet to the sun. It speeds around the Sun in a wildly elliptical orbit.
Venus At first glance, if the Earth had a twin it would be Venus. The two planets are similar in size, mass, composition, and distance from the sun.
Earth Earth, our home planet, is the only planet in our solar system known to harbor life that is incredibly diverse.
Moon The moon has guided timekeepers for thousands of years. More than 70 spacecrafts have been sent to the moon and 12 astronauts have walked on its surface.
Mars The red planet Mars has a small rocky body that is very earth- like. It has inspired wild flights of imagination over the CENTRIES.
Jupiter The most massive planet in our solar system with four planet – sized moons, Jupiter forms a kind of miniature solar system.
Saturn Saturn is the most distant of the five planets. It is made mostly of hydrogen and helium. It has thousands of rings made up of billions of ice and rock particles.
Uranus Uranus, like Saturn, is encircled by five narrow rings which are named Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Epsilon.
Neptune The eighth planet from the sun, Neptune, was the first planet located through mathematical predictions rather than observations of the sky.
Pluto Our smallest, coldest, and most distant planet from the sun. Pluto has a dual identity, not to mention being enshrouded in controversy since its discovery in 1930.
A Nasa Astronaut A career as an astronaut requires vasts amounts of education and training. To become an astronaut it takes two years of training and over twenty skills to learn.
