The Facts Who is involved? What is the issue? What does each side feel about the issue? Where is this taking place? When is this taking place? What happened?
Taking Notes for Secondary Sources
Motive, MO, Consequences Why? Helps you get at context/motive. How gets you to modus operandithe process by which something got done. Changing attitudes, norms, ways of doing things, laws. Etc. What difference did it make? Gets you to consequences and significance in history. Because this change happened, what else changed or happened?
