2. 2 John 13: 34-35 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

3. 3 1 John 3: 11-16 This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. 12 Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were righteous. 13 Do not be surprised, my brothers and sisters, if the world hates you. 14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers and sisters. Anyone who does not love remains in death. 15 Anyone who hates his brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him. 16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.

4. 4 1 John 4: 11, 16b-21 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another...God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. 17 In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. 18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 19 We love because he first loved us. 20 If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother or sister, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother or sister whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. 21 And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brothers and sisters.
