Integrated Information Platform for reservoir and subsea production systems 7 Mean time between failure (#1 465 932 000) MEAN TIME BETWEEN FAILURE (#792 523 400) A period of time which is the mean period of time interval between failures. MEAN TIME BETWEEN FAILURES (MTBF) 1 A (TIME BETWEEN FAILURES) (#1 464 719 000) The time duration between two consecutive failures of a repaired item. MEAN TIME BETWEEN FAILURES (MTBF) 1 B (TIME BETWEEN FAILURES) (#1 464 723 500) The expectation of the time between failures: Note. - In English, the use of the abbreviation MTBF in this sense is now deprecated. MEAN TIME BETWEEN FAILURES (MTBF) 1 C (TIME BETWEEN FAILURES) (#1 464 728 000) The expectation of the operating time between failures. MEAN TIME BETWEEN FAILURES (MTBF) 1 D (TIME BETWEEN FAILURES) (#1 464 732 500) Total time duration of operating time between two consecutive failures of a repaired item. MEAN TIME BETWEEN FAILURES (MTBF) 2 (#1 464 741 500) Predicts the average number of hours that an item, assembly, or piece part will operate before it fails. MEAN TIME BETWEEN FAILURES (MTBF) 3 (#1 464 714 500) For a particular interval, the total functional life of a population of an item divided by the total number of failures within the population during the measurement interval. The definition holds for time, rounds, miles, events, or other measure of life units. MEAN TIME BETWEEN FAILURES (MTBF) 4 (#1 464 696 500) The average length of time a system or component works without failure.

Integrated Information Platform for reservoir and subsea production systems 8 Project Scope  To integrate the following information in one information model  Geometry and topology (combination of GIS, CAD, and Earth model)  3D and 4C / 4D seismic  Drilling and logging (WITSML)  Reservoir characterisation  Production  Safety and automation system  Well stream containing subsea equipment  Reliability and maintenance (ISO 14224)  Reservoir uncertainty data  Standardisation, ISO, POSC, (W3C)  To investigate real time decision support systems that  Classify and retrieve information using Web Ontology Language (OWL)  Use Rule based notification  Visualise subsurface and operational data  Automatically link production control and reservoir simulation tools (option)

Integrated Information Platform for reservoir and subsea production systems 13 Tyrihans - A Case for the Project Tyrihans will be developed as a highly instrumented field Significant well instrumentation that generate real time data Permanent bottom cables that generate data for saturation and pressure maps –Changes are monitored on a daily or weekly basis, instead of the current 6 month basis The integrated information platform will represent this information along with other information about production, operation and maintenance and equipment to make better decisions for production improvement

Integrated Information Platform for reservoir and subsea production systems 14 Project Benefits Common set of terms and definitions that can be used within a company to integrate data systems –Integrate information across disciplines –Define new work processes –Use historical information to make more reliable and accurate decisions Common set of terms and definitions that can be submitted for ISO standardisation –Standard interface for information exchange with suppliers that would facilitate becoming more independent of suppliers Prototype real time decision making software

Integrated Information Platform for reservoir and subsea production systems 15 Example OLF Project – Daily production reporting 1.Work on going – planned completion September 30th 2.Definitions developed by OLF project and implemented in ISO 15926 RDL by IIP project 3.Per license, unit or field. 4.Pressures, temperatures, volumes (Import, export, produced and consumed) and masses. 5.Accumulated values YTD volumes MTD volumes
