2 An AGREEMENT OF ACADEMIC AND SCIENTIFIC COOPERATION between Norwegian Centre for Integrated Care and Telemedicine and Saint Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics is going to be signed in September – early October 2012 (the draft has already been approved by relevant administrative authorities within the NST and ITMO) to: establish concrete educational collaboration develop student exchanges organize other academic and research activities in the field of telemedicine and e-health Project meeting 4-5 September 2012 A1.1 EDUCATION & EXCHANGE

4 The possibility of arranging the following distance courses in the field of Telemedicine and e-Health is currently discussed by ITMO and NST: Telemedicine and e-health systems Medical informatics As expected, a group of students ca 15-20 people will take part at the lecture series. University ITMO uses teaching methods based on Web2.0 Technology and Social Group concept for distance learning http://en.ifmo.ru/groups/group.html. For each distance course the dedicated social group is created due to students and teaching staff will be able to see lectures live over the Internet and share lecture materials for downloading. Students have the option of logging in at a later time to watch video materials of the lecture. The lecturer will normally provide students with lecture notes, a recommended text book and a reading list. Student is also able to upload completed assignments and access various teaching materials, handouts to assist their study and to interact with tutors. 8 A1.2 Education and Research Networking 27-28 June, 2012 MyFire Russian workshop, ITMO, St Petersburg The workshop was arranged with direct participation of KITENPI partners in pursuit to develop educational and research networking in the field of Information Technologies. The event was collocated to the annual conference “Telematics” dedicated to IT development in research. Among the guests of MyFIRE Russian workshop were representatives of the IBM Company, the Moscow State University and other significant people. Professor Arkady Zaslavsky (LTU, Sweden) made a report about Internet of Things at the plenary session and shared his ideas about Future Internet with scientific community. 9 A1.3 Master Programmes sharing 19-24 March, 2012 Spring International School “High performance computation on GRID systems”, NArFU, Arkhangelsk It is an international scientific and practical young school created within the framework of the International master programme "Software, systems and services development in the global environment".
