5. Eligibility for Assessment.... Companies with Standard Industrial Codes (SIC) 20-39 Gross annual sales below $100 million a year. Fewer than 500 employees at the plant site. Annual energy bills more than $100,000 and less than $2 million. No professional in-house staff to perform the assessment.

Assessment Areas Areas Audited at the Plant: –Energy usage (electricity bills, fuel consumption) –Energy intense equipment (electrical motors, compressors, air handlers) –Processes and related equipment (boilers- combustion, heat exchangers and cooling towers- cooling) –Buildings and other plant areas (insulation, lighting, HVAC) –Waste generation and disposal –Production process

8. Assessment Report Companies receive a detailed and confidential report within 60 days of the Plant Visit. Report consists of: –Plant background information –Energy and resources management information –Assessment recommendations (including detailed engineering calculations) –Implementation savings $$ and estimated payback periods.
