YouTube

Introduction YouTube is another great Social Media site that allows you to show your results to the world, share tips and ideas, and build relationships with people.

Background The first thing you will need to do after you create an account is create a background. Fortunately, Beachbody has already created a few for you that you can use. – Coach Office, Sales & Marketing, Marketing Tools, Social Media Skins, YouTube Go to your Channel Page, click on Channel Settings, and you can upload the background image file.

Channel Info Next, you will need to update your Channel info. To do so, go to your Channel, click on “edit” by your name. Add some basic information about yourself, how you help others, and insert your website into the “add new link” box.

Adding Videos Now you are all set to begin adding videos. The program that I use to create all videos and recommend is iMovie. The very first video that you need to add is your results video. After your results video, I recommend creating weekly videos with fitness and health tips, supplement reviews, and motivational tips.

Results Video This is going to be your most important video and the one you use the most. In the very beginning and very end of the video, make sure you have your website, Facebook, and Twitter info. You don’t want this video (or any video) to be longer than 2.5 – 3 minutes long. It needs to look clean, professional, but catchy and exciting.

Uploading the Video Next, you will need to upload the video. Click “upload” at the top of the main page, an then select the video file in your computer. Once the file has uploaded, go to the “Video Manager” section (click on your name at the very top and you will see it), and then click on “Edit” under the video you just added. Under “Category” select “People and Blogs,” and make sure the privacy is set to public.

Thumbnail Importance Which thumbnail you choose for your video is VERY IMPORTANT! You want a picture that will draw attention to your video. – Your “after” pic, comparison pic, or even “before” pic works best. Unfortunately, YouTube only gives you 3 options for a thumbnail, and sometimes you might have to change a few things around on your actual video and upload it again to get the one that will work best. When you’re in the video edit, the thumbnails that you can choose are directly to the right of your video.

Video SEO While in video edit, the keywords and phrases that you use in your title, tags, and description are VERY IMPORTANT! YouTube is owned by Google, so the SEO (search engine optimization) is pretty much the exact same. – To learn more about SEO, check out the Wordpress SEO PowerPoint Presentation. Wordpress SEO PowerPoint Presentation

Video SEO For the Title, you want to use a term or phrase that people would use when searching in YouTube or Google. – i.e. If you got results from TurboFire, you might want to use something with the words “Turbofire Results” in it because that’s a phrase that’s highly searched for. In the description, you want to use your main keyword along with a number of different keywords that are related to your main keyword. – i.e. If you use “Turbofire Results,” you could also use “Turbofire transformation,” “Turbofire pictures,” “Turbofire results video,” etc. – Make sure the description is a small paragraph and flows smoothly. – Make sure you include your website, Facebook, and a link for people to make you their coach as well.

Comments & Messages It’s important that you answer all comments and messages in a timely manner. I answer mine every day at the same time so that no comment or question goes 24 hours without a response. In comments, you aren’t allowed to put links, so I always put something like “I’ve got more info on my diet on my site JoshSpencerFitness*com.”

Searching for Videos There are people on YouTube who will put up results videos who aren’t coaches yet. – However, this is rapidly changing, making it tougher for you to make good use of your time. To see if they are a coach or not, go to their Channel and see if they have any info about being a coach. If not, reach out to them, letting them know that you saw their results, congratulate them, and ask them if they are a coach or if they have a coach. If not, engage in conversation and build a relationship, and eventually talk to them about becoming a coach themselves, to help others go through the programs and achieve results like they did.

Sharing Videos Under each video, there is a sharing button, allowing you to share your video on different social media sites. Whenever you release a new video, it’s important that you share the video on each social media site that you are a part of. Share or embed the video on your website as well.
