Home And Shelter The names of the houses are Wigwams, long houses,tepees, grass houses,wattle and daub,chick chees, adobe,earthen,plank,igloos,and brush shelters.They used what the forest provides them, sharpened wood,sharpened deer horns,stone knifes,big sticks,wigwus,a bone all,and a burnt stick. Their is only 1 family in each home,2 boys a girl a mom and a dad.The way they made there houses is they got the bark from a tree and put it around the house and tied it off with the string they made and cut holes in the side for sun light.s By : Sofia Jacobelly

4. Food The Catawba Tribe harvested food in farm areas and the men hunted deer and caribou. They made cornbread and soups. They caught fish to cook with handmade traps which they placed under the water. By: Henry Bick

5. Clothin g Men- Loin cloths made of deerskins wore for war, black circle around one eye and white around the other. Women- knee length deer skin skirts. Facts- during winter when traveling wore leggings capes made of animal hides. Ceremonial garb and long leather jackets with fringe, pants with fringe, and head dress with large stand up feathers. 6. Jobs Men- they are hunters,and they go into war. Women- They are farmers,child care, and they make homes. Both of the parents did story telling, art, music,they make medicine, and they could be chiefs. By: Fiona Austin

7. Music Games And Traditions They played drums made out of deer skin and used wooden sticks they also used cow bells they made music by also banging tambourines. The main sport they played was lacrosse and a games with arrows that they through in to a net. By: Malena Gianni
