6 Why use them in education? High interest Quick way to get information out Data stored in most apps –No need to “write it down” Link to resources –More information than could fit in the same space

7 How can I read QR Codes? Phone –Download app Use built in camera iPhone – Mobiletag or QuickMark Laptop –Webcam –Capture from screen (Bar Capture) Camera –Upload for decoding

12 QR Codes in AISD Field Trip –Went to park –Students used GPS to find “cache” –Inside cache was QR Code with instructions Parent night –To introduce laptops to parents –QR Codes posted around campus with answers to questions (scavenger hunt setup)

13 Historical Markers –In conjunction with county historical society –Placing QR Code signs near historical markers –Lead to websites with more information –Student will do research & generate codes QR Codes in AISD
