7. 7 Transcripts and Test Scores SAT (II) Subject Tests –Subject Tests (includes Literature, History, Math, Sciences, Foreign Languages) –2-3 are usually required for more competitive schools –Correlate with field of study (Engineering majors need math and physics) –Students can take up to 3 SAT Subject tests on same date – 1 hour each –Students cannot take both SAT Reasoning and SAT Subject tests on the same day –Registration deadline is approximately 1 month before test date –Take certain subject area tests in the appropriate year 9 th graders can take Biology in June of 9 th grade 10 th graders can take World History, Chemistry & Math I in June of 10 th grade 11 th graders can take Physics, U.S. History, Math I or II, Literature, or Foreign Language in June of 11 th grade –Score choice provides students with the ability to pick and choose which scores to submit to their colleges when the time comes
