7. 3. The hypothesis It is a prediction or an educated guess of what you think will happen Any valid (true/reasonable) hypothesis can be tested

9. 3 Variables for the Experiment 1) The independent variable – what you are testing. It is the only variable that is changed during an experiment. 2) The dependent variable – what you are measuring.

11. Collecting data – do not write When we make observations in an experiment we record this information. This is our data. Observations are anything we observe with our 5 senses. Sight, sound, taste, touch,& smell.
